Product Description
Radial SGI RX Stereo Receiver for Radial SGI Stereo Instrument Line Driver System with Ground Lift and Polarity Reverse Switches
Taking Radial Engineering's SGI system and enhancing it with a two-channel design, the SGI Stereo RX is the receiver module of the SGI Stereo system, providing stereo line driving for guitar pedals, pedalboards, and amp modelers. With the ability to receive balanced stereo signals up to 300' without loss or noise, this line driver is an ideal tool for stage or studio performances.
The SGI Stereo RX is loaded with premium Jensen transformers to ensure high-quality sound and a natural tone for off-stage amps and processors. The unit sports a locking RJ45 EtherCON input for balanced analog stereo audio and stereo Hi-Z outputs for feeding signals to amps or pedals. The Stereo SGI RX is completely passive and requires no power input.
A Stereo Line Extension of the SGI System
The SGI Stereo allows guitar players with stereo rigs to connect to dual amplifiers in remote locations on large stages or in studio amp rooms. Audio input on the receiver is via balanced analog etherCON, a reliable locking connector.
With the 180° polarity reverse on the left channel, you can correct signal cancellation that occurs from amplifiers wired out of phase. With the ground-lift switches, you can independently switch the left, right, or both channels to disconnect the audio ground path on the RJ45 input, reducing ground-loop hum.
Radial now offers the same SGI system in stereo. The SGI Stereo instrument line driver system enables you to take a pair of unbalanced instrument signals and drive them up to 300 feet with pristine clarity and zero unwanted noise over a Cat 5 Ethernet cable; no XLR required. The SGI-RX is the system's receiver unit, boasting a premium Jensen transformer for optimal sonic performance. What’s more, the SGI-RX also features a Ground Lift button to cut out ground-related hiss and hum.
Finally, the system has been updated with a 9–18V DC power input to accommodate power from scores of pedalboard-standard power supplies. Whether you’re tracking with a dual amp setup or routing your signal through an existing Ethernet infrastructure, Radial’s SGI Stereo system ensures your instrument signal always performs to the highest level possible.
Radial Engineering SGI RX Stereo Features:
- Receiver unit for Radial’s SGI Stereo instrument line driver system
- When coupled with the SGI-TX transmitter, the system takes dual unbalanced 1/4-in. instrument signals and drives them up to 300 ft. via Cat 5 Ethernet
- Defeats the diminished top-end detail and noise often introduced by long 1/4-in. cable runs
- Boasts a premium Jensen transformer to send your signal with a wide, flat frequency response, reduced noise, enhanced dynamic range, and an optimized signal-to-noise ratio
- Comes equipped with a Ground Lift button to cut out ground-related noise
- 180° Polarity Reverse switch corrects signal cancellation
- 9–18V DC power input to accept most pedalboard-standard power supplies
